Administration in Pali

Pali district of Rajasthan is divided into nine subdivisions by the State government for convenience and they are Pali, Bali, Sojat, Sumerpur, Desuri, Rohat, Raipur, Jaitaran and M. Junction. The Sub-divisional Officer/Magistrate under the Collector and District Magistrate of Pali is responsible for looking after each sub-division. There is an additional District Magistrate also for Pali who executes all the work.

Administration of PaliEach of the nine Tehsils in Pali has a number of Patwar-Mandals and each Patwar-Mandal has a Patwari who serves the landholders and farmers at the village level. Pali district is divided into ten Panchayat Samitis or Blocks. These Blocks are further divided into 320 primary rural local bodies, which are called Gram Panchayats. There is a Block development Officer (BDO) for each block, who serves as the representative of the district administration in the rural areas.

Zila Parishad (District Council) that consists of 33 members is responsible for coordinating and administrating the working of the Gram Panchayats and Panchayat Samiti. Block offices control and manage different development works and projects at Gram Panchayat Level (rural level). There is a Gram Sevak at each Gram Panchayat, who is appointed to keep record of the development works and to project required development works.

MLAs and MPs in Pali
There are six MLAs and one MP in the District who represent the legislative constituency and Parliamentary constituency respectively.  Kota Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 25 parliamentary constituencies in Rajasthan. This constituency comprises eight legislative assembly segments, which are Keshoraipatan, Bundi, Pipalda, Sangod, Kota North, Kota South, Ladpura and Ramganj Mandi. The current MP of Kota Loksabha constituency is Om Birla who belongs to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
