Pali, one of the 33 districts in Rajasthan, is located in a central part of the state. Pali is well connected by other districts and states by road and railway network. Jodhpur, the second largest city of Rajsthan is hardly 70 km away from Pali and it is connected to North Indian cities by rail via Jodhpur. Pali has mainly three industrial areas, which are Mandia road industrial area, Industrial area phase1 & 2 and Punyata industrial area. Mandia road industrial area is the oldest as well as the biggest off all where popular and reputed textile industries like Megha Textiles, Sonu Group of Industries, Vinod Group of Industries are situated. Agriculture in Pali

There are number of irrigation dams in Pali district. However, the farmers here mainly depend on monsoons to a great extent. Around 50 percent of the farmers rely on monsoons for farming. Kharif and Rabi are the main crops in Pali. While Kharif crops are sown with the beginning of the first rains in July, Rabi crops are usually sown in November. The major Kharif crops in Pali are jowar, bajra, moong, groundnut, rice and red chilles.
